 The Indigos

The Indigos are an Indie Folk Jam group that provides a unique musical experience for the listener as well as an inviting live show. Amber Amanda and Carson May founded the group back in 2013, starting their career off with a west coast tour. That following year they released a full length album called The Other Side, recorded with Earnie Tullis. They went on to record a three song self titled EP at UCO’s Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM). They hired on John Stendel and Jimmy Jackson for a brief time, playing a string of local shows in OKC. The two moved on with their own project’s after a couple of months. Amber and Carson played as an acoustic duo for several months in 2015, before Carson ran into Michael Fabri at Native Roots Market, the two had started working together at the time. After their first practice together, they brought him on as their new permanent drummer. Soon after, they brought on a mutual friend, Joshua West, who proved to be a bass God in his own right. He completed the group that was The Indigos. The group gradually took over central Oklahoma for the next three years, playing venues from The Deli in Norman to Vintage 22 in Ada. They also played local festivals such as Norman Music Festival and Soulklahoma in Chickasha, and even provided music at events ranging from a Race for the Cure 5k to a local art gala at the Boathouse District in OKC. The band had steady momentum, until some unforeseen circumstances caused Josh to depart from The Indigos so he could pursue his own career path. The Indigos now play as a trio consisting of Amber Amanda, Carson May, and Michael Fabri. Our goal is simply to bring more and more people together through the power of music.
